
REMOVAL
I - REMOVAL PREPARATION OPERATION
- Position the vehicle on a two-post lift (see Vehicle:
Towing and lifting) (02A, Lifting equipment).
- Remove the rear wheel (see 35A, Wheels and tyres,
Wheel: Removal - Refitting, page 35A-1) .
WARNING
To avoid damaging the wheel speed sensor
cable:
- Do not tension the cable,
- Do not twist the cable,
- Check that there is no contact with the surrounding
components,
- Do not use tools that may damage the cable.

II - OPERATION FOR REMOVAL OF PART
CONCERNED
4X2 TRANSMISSION

- Remove the bolt (1) from the rear wheel speed sensor.
- Unclip the stub axle carrier cable.
4X4 TRANSMISSION

- Remove the bolt (2) from the rear wheel speed sensor.
- Unclip the stub axle carrier cable.

- Disconnect the connector (3) from the rear wheel
speed sensor.
- Unclip the cable from the wheel speed sensor at (4) .
- Remove the wheel speed sensor.
REFITTING
I - REFITTING OPERATION FOR PART
CONCERNED
- Connect the speed sensor connector.
- Clip on the cable of the rear wheel speed sensor at
(4) .
- Refit the rear wheel speed sensor bolt.
- Torque tighten the rear wheel speed sensor bolt
(10 N.m).
II - FINAL OPERATION.
- Refit the rear wheel (see 35A, Wheels and tyres,
Wheel: Removal - Refitting, page 35A-1) .
