LEFT-HAND DRIVE

REMOVAL

I - REMOVAL PREPARATION OPERATION

  • Remove:
    • the dashboard lower cover on the driver's side (see Dashboard: Removal - Refitting) (57A, Interior equipment),
    • the driver's side A-pillar air distribution duct (see Front air distribution duct: Removal - Refitting) ,
    • the lower cover on the left-hand side of the centre panel (see Dashboard: Removal - Refitting) (57A, Interior equipment).

II - OPERATION FOR REMOVAL OF PART CONCERNED

Heating

  • Unclip the retaining clip (1) .
Note: Foreign bodies (leaves, insects etc.) are likely to accumulate in the passenger compartment filter.

Remove the passenger compartment filter with care to prevent foreign bodies getting into the evaporator.

  • Remove:
    • the cabin filter cover,
    • the passenger compartment filter.

REFITTING

I - REFITTING PREPARATION OPERATION

  • Check for foreign bodies in the passenger compartment filter housing, and clean thoroughly if necessary.

II - REFITTING OPERATION FOR PART CONCERNED

Heating

  • Refit:
    • the cabin filter (2) ,
    • the passenger compartment filter cover.
  • Clip on the retaining clip.

III - FINAL OPERATION.

  • Refit:
    • the lower cover on the left-hand side of the centre panel (see Dashboard: Removal - Refitting) (57A, Interior equipment),
    • the driver's side A-pillar air distribution duct (see Front air distribution duct: Removal - Refitting) ,
    • the dashboard lower cover on the driver's side (see Dashboard: Removal - Refitting) (57A, Interior equipment).

RIGHT-HAND DRIVE

REMOVAL

I - REMOVAL PREPARATION OPERATION

  • Remove:
    • the glovebox (see Glovebox: Removal - Refitting) ( 57A, Interior equipment),
    • the dashboard lower cover on the driver's side (see Dashboard: Removal - Refitting) (57A, Interior equipment),
    • the A-pillar air distribution duct (see Front air distribution duct: Removal - Refitting) .

Heating

  • Remove:
    • the bolts (1) ,
    • the glove box air duct (2) .

II - OPERATION FOR REMOVAL OF PART CONCERNED

Heating

  • Remove the air mixing control cable (3) .
  • Unclip the retaining clip (4) .

Note: Foreign bodies (leaves, insects etc.) are likely to accumulate in the passenger compartment filter.

Remove the passenger compartment filter with care to prevent foreign bodies getting into the evaporator.

  • Remove:
    • the passenger compartment filter cover (5) ,
    • the passenger compartment filter.

REFITTING

I - REFITTING PREPARATION OPERATION

  • Check for foreign bodies in the passenger compartment filter housing, and clean thoroughly if necessary.

II - REFITTING OPERATION FOR PART CONCERNED

Heating

  • Refit:
    • the cabin filter (6) ,
    • the passenger compartment filter cover.
  • Clip on the retaining clip (4) .
  • Refit:
    • the air mixing control cable.
    • the glove box air duct,
    • the air duct screws.

III - FINAL OPERATION.

  • Refit:
    • the driver's side A pillar air distribution duct (see Front air distribution duct: Removal - Refitting) ,
    • the dashboard lower cover on the driver's side (see Dashboard: Removal - Refitting) (57A, Interior equipment),
    • the glovebox (see Glovebox: Removal - Refitting) (57A, Interior equipment).
    Heating: List and location of components

    Rear air distribution duct: Removal - Refitting
