6-SPEED AUTOMATIC GEARBOX

REMOVAL

REMOVAL PREPARATION OPERATION

• Position the vehicle on a two-post lift.

• Remove the automatic gearbox.

• Remove:
  • the hydraulic distributor housing bolts (1) ,
  • the hydraulic distributor housing (2) ,
  • the hydraulic distributor housing seal.

• Unclip the internal wiring connector (3) .
• Remove the hydraulic distributor bolts (4) .
• Disconnect the automatic gear lever (5) by tilting the hydraulic distributor slightly.
• Remove the hydraulic distributor.

• Remove the O-rings (6) .

REFITTING

I - REFITTING PREPARATION OPERATION

• Always replace:
  • the hydraulic distributor housing seal.
  • the O-ring.
• Clean the joint faces usingsurface cleaner on the automatic gearbox and on the hydraulic distributor housing, taking care not to damage the contact surfaces.
• Refit the new O-rings.

II - REFITTING OPERATION FOR PART CONCERNED

• Refit the hydraulic distributor.
• Connect the automatic gear lever by tilting the hydraulic distributor slightly.
• Refit the hydraulic distributor bolts.
• Torque tighten the hydraulic distributor bolts (8 Nm).
• Clip the internal wiring connector.
• Refit:
  • the hydraulic distributor housing seal on the hydraulic distributor housing,
  • the hydraulic distributor housing,
  • the hydraulic distributor casing bolts.
• Torque tighten the hydraulic distributor housing bolts (8 Nm).

III - FINAL OPERATION.

• Refit the automatic gearbox.
